Temporary Spanaway Youth House opens January 2010!
Because of a delay in our construction progress with our new center, we are moving forward and opening a temporary house for girls 18-21 just a block down from our new site. Thank you Superintendent Tom Seigel, Bethel School District and the School Board for once again partnering with Youth Resources to serve youth!

Just wanted to give all of our partners an update on the progress of the center. We have encountered some unexpected problems that we are working hard to resolve and hopefully we’ll be finishing the trim and project very soon. We are committed to serving the youth of Pierce County with this wonderful center and new home and will let everyone know as soon as we have an opening date!
Thank you for all of your patience!

Summer is here!
And we are looking forward to opening this center by the end of August. That is our plan! Finishing work is being done, lots more yet to do, but we are close! Hoping the August date will be a reality - just letting all of you know that is our goal, we will let you know when there is a date set. We are working hard, have a few hurdles to jump but it will all be worth it in the end!

A BIG thank you to all those in the community who responded to the article in the TNT about donating items to the new youth center! For now, we do not have a place to store furniture etc…. We do ask that the community keep checking this web site as to our progress and we will post items needed as we move along toward opening.
Something to keep in mind - This is a brand new facility and we are asking for new or very gently used items. If you are a business - we are a great place for you to donate furniture, appliances etc!
